Need to change ignition tumbler, key getting loose hard to s

Since the key has a resistor, if I buy a new tumbler and key (w resistor) what is the sequence for reprogramming once its installed?

You'll have to take the car to the dealership and have them marry it to the BCM.

    It's costly.

You may be better off doing the VATS bypass.

Is that were you string resistors together inside the housing?

The reason for the BCM reprogramed to the key is so it reads the correct resistance to the new key.

    Yes...
