Newbie from georgia
Hey guys im Brian from columbus georgia. I just bought my first gm car. No im not new to the game lol ive always had fox body mustangs and still have one as my race car. I just bought a 96 v6 firebird which im doing a 5.3LS swap with a turbo. Ive been hearing nothing but good things about the LS engines so I decided to see what the hype is all about and build one. Im hoping there will be some of yall close around me and can meet some of yall. Any advice will be appreciated guys (and lady's). Im gonna start a build thread as soon as I can so everyone can see the progress as I go. Thanks for the great site and hope to hear from some of yall

Welcome to the site!
Lots of 5.3 turbo builds out there so you shouldn't have an issue tracking down parts. It'll really get your 'Bird moving too. We enjoy build threads with lots of pics on here, so post away!

That works. Wouldn't be a bad idea to upgrade your valve springs, pushrods and rockers too while you have everything apart.

A guy here in town has a set of afr heads for a 1000 bucks. Im thinking about getting them just not sure yet. They have .650 lift springs on them but no rockers. What is some good pushrods to get?
