Made a trek out to Fort Wayne this morning to drop my car off at Dream Makers for the conversion back to normal people gas... lol
What a showroom... a one off factory green 458 Italia, 2 Carrera GTs, LFA, a 575 Maranello GTC Superamerica, McLaren 570s, and a host of other super cars all waiting for new owners. Needless to say, they wouldn't take my Vette as a straight up trade.

I was in the garage today from around 8:00 a.m. until after 9:00 p.m. Swapped tires on my stepson's Dodge Ram 3500 after he completely blew the sidewall out of a rear tire on the highway last week, then went back to work on the '40 which I had buttoned back up by evening and took for a 5 mile spin, after that it was a Nissan Sentra with a front end noise that turned out to be a loose wheel with a missing lug nut.

spent the weekend in the sun at the east coast nationals car show. Carlisle can eat it's heart out to even dream of being that diverse and big. Carlisle beats Syracuse for the swap meet, but that's about it.

Experienced the joy of a VW wheel bearing swap this morning. Hopefully the second and last time I have to play with one of those.
Worked a bit more on the '40 and went out for a ride in it this afternoon. Turned some heads and heard at least three, "Nice car!" comments. Have to work on the carb and ignition system next. Still have a mystery switch on the dash I need to figure out.

Looks like rain this evening. Next step on the '40 is to do some tuning. I have to check the plugs and points, check timing, verify fuel pressure, and the carb definitely needs attention. The engine is idling kind of high and running rather rich right now.

Only a 7.5 hr day today seemed like a half a day, well I guess it really was compared to the hrs I have been putting in lately..... Man the humidity is horrible but I'm ok now A.C. Feels great so I'm probably in for the evening cooling down tomorrow
