Can't get my rear rotors off !!

Is there some trick to getting the rear rotors off ?? The E-brake is off, there is no screw holding them on and no retainer clips on the studs. I have an 8lb steel hammer that I have pounded the crap out of it with. I put PB Blaster on the hub area. won't even budge. ...and of course the caliper and bracket are off. Has anyone else ran across this problem and solved it ??

I had to beat mine to death to get them off. But they eventually did come off.

Ditto....but only when I was doing a total replacement.

Try hitting the center of the axle hub a couple of times to shock it. If you have to smack the rotor place a 2x4 board between the rotor and the hammer. Less chance of damaging the rotor. Applying a little bit of heat sometimes works as well.

Just make sure if you're using PB Blaster or WD40 you clean all brake surfaces with brake cleaner.

Grab a torch and heat around the hub - even a propane torch will work in most instances. Use either a soft face dead blow hammer or a block of wood between the rotor and any steel hammer. Make sure you have at least one lug nut in place so the rotor does not get launched across your garage. After removal, wire brush the axle lip and lightly grind or sand the inner lip of the rotor as this is where they normally seize.
