    LS1 swap into a 72Z28

Just a quick question. I'm new to the forum and I just bought a used LS1 to drop into a 72 z28. I am wondering if anyone here has done this and if so, what headers are you running on this install? I prefer a set that you do not to bang up or bend too much if at all possible. Thanks!

Here is a link to one of our members who has completed the swap in a later model 2nd gen -- it is very well done and I am sure he would be happy to answer questions: http://www.ls1.com/forums/members/reedld/

This is the link to his profile page and you can use the "Find latest posts" or "Find latest threads" buttons to see more about the work on his car. You'll need to be a member for a few days and have some more posts before you gain access to Private Messages, and then you can contact him directly. Leon is a great guy and has an amazing car.

Thanks a million pajeff02. I'm sure I'll have even more questions when i start the swap but the link will be a great reference. 👍

I've thought more than once about a '72 I had back in the late 70's that if I still had it today I'd have to drop an LS in it.

So far, I have never had the urge to drop a modern engine into any of our collector cars. Call me old school... or just old.
