I will bump this, I'd hate to think that the pump I have in my inventory wont work.

I do not have an answer -- would have to do some research on the part numbers. I would note that every now and then they seem to renumber their parts. I had a heck of a time trying to buy spark plugs for our Suburban, until I read on-line that they had changed the AC Delco part number.

Looked at a couple of on-line auto parts places and got the same kind of answer, AC Delco seems to have multiple part numbers that say they fit. It does seem that some of the part numbers are advertised as being better than others and come at a variety of prices from around $100 to over $200 but rather thin on explaining why one is better than the other unless one is for a rebuilt over a new casting. The other thing that sticks out are notes about requiring a different thermostat housing. From a couple of photos it appears there may be a difference in the height of the mounting surface for the thermostat housing but it could just be my eyes playing tricks. I suspect you may end up having to remove your old pump and take it down to your local auto parts dealers to see if you can get a definite match or visit a GM dealer and see if they have more info in their computer to explain the differences.

^^ Good idea. Just be certain that they have the pumps in stock. Other choice would be to have your dealership look up the AC Delco part number (again, make sure it is the current number) and then order that wherever you wish or even try to cross match it. I will say that I have purchased some AC Delco parts cheaper at the local dealership than I could through Autozone.

Forgot to add that the dealership can look it up using your VIN, rather than just by application.

I recently did a water pump to my Ecotec DD car, and there were two ACDelco pumps. One for $56, one for $100 something. I ordered the cheaper one, and apparently that one came without the side plate that the thermostat pipe sticks in. 6 bolts and a gasket, I had it changed in moments. So i'm glad I didn't spend another $50 for a quicker swap out and install.
