Gasket kit suggestions?
I'm replacing the head gaskets on my ls1 but I want to buy a gasket kit that's strong and reliable. Any suggestions? Also before I put my heads back on do I have to get a new head bolts? I heard someone say they are usually a one shot deal. Thanks

OEM MLS gaskets are what you want. You can pick up a pair at WS6store, Hawks3rdGen, Summit.
Part # 12589227 for the pair. I picked mine up from WS6store for $80.
OEM head bolts are one shot deal, period. NEVER reuse TTY (Torque To Yield) bolts. Now would be a great time to invest in ARP head bolts or studs. Recommend 6pt over 12pt. 12pts are a PITA IMHO. I wish I had stayed with 6pts. Again I paid $114 for my ARP head bolts, bonus they are reusable. I've moved on to their studs for my current build.
Couple of things you need to also check out before slapping it all together again, Have the heads check. Aluminum heads can and do warp. If you just throw back on you risk having head gasket leaks.
2nd....dry ever head bolt hole. Everyone. Coolant will drain into when you pull the head. If you do not dry them you will crack your block.
3rd if doing it in the car, take some wire cutters and trim the tip of the plastic rivets that are under the cowl. It will save your hands from bleeding.http://www.ls1.com/forums/f7/my-6-liter-build-174257/
