Celebrating our 16th anniversary today. I surprised Dawn with a couple of kayaks I bought last weekend before heading down to Carlisle. We spent the morning and into the afternoon up on the lake. Saw several turtles, lots of ducks and what I believe may be loons, an eagle, and an otter. Pretty awesome experience and very happy with our new toys.

Wet here also, clearing now though. Nothing planed until later heading to races. Spent every Saturday there for about 12 racing seasons until a big crash sidelined us. Haven't been back for a few years as the track had closed but with new ownership coming my Brother-in-law was getting it back together as his health was going bad, I think he knew something we didn't before going to be with the Lord. I was never there with out him so with mixed emotions I'm going tonight but with my nephew (his son) looking forward to it.
This was our last car. It's now been completed by his fellow racers and is for sale.

Still overcast here. We spent some time up on Faylor Lake this morning and it was very relaxing. Going to run some laundry, eat lunch and then pack it up for the ride north.

Had fun at the races last night my sister surprised me and showed up. It was pretty cool having her back at the track with me for my first time back. We talked about a lot of old memories from our past seasons. Our good friend won his heat, 1st feature and second in the 2nd feature after starting last. Very cool...great weekend...4 work days and I'm on vacation for 10 days....come onnnn 3pm Thursday
