    Others have suggested to use a clear hose or a weight scale to show when empty.

    Yeah I run a clear hose on my oil drain tank, as well as on the side for a fill site.

    However I'd still rather have a drain back setup on a primer like this just because I prefer to prime an engine for several minutes, and it would be extremely simple to rig one on that primer setup.

    As you can see in his video, just simply emptying 5 quarts via pressure into the engine, it showed that some of those rockers were still dry. It really needs to prime and rotate some more.

    Similar thing happened to me on my LS1, pulled the pump nothing obvious so to be on safe side i fitted new pump, prob solved, figured out that it could only have been pump relief valve stuck open, id change pump and see what happens, its something to eliminate

    Did u use a ls2 valley cover and have u checked to make sure the o rings are in the valley cover?
