What's funny is never had an issue with my son nor my niece & her 3 brothers (when we were raising them). She's decided to become the rebel. How this started was because I got tired of my wife "Bitching" about cleaning her room all the time. I told her 1st, your fault (that went over like a brick shit house), you've done it for her most of the time and now she's expecting it. 2nd, I got tired of telling her to do it and get blown off. Told her (my daughter), what comes next if she continues to defy us....Other items and things she likes to do. TV, I'll take the plug and leave it in her room (bound to drive her nuts), playing with friends...etc.

My daughter is on her way to 13 great girl but has been trying my patience with her mouth, she pretty much watches with me because I will hand out her punishment immediately. I found out the phone,iPad,TV is worse than getting a good smack. I was mad the other day cause the kitchen was a mess and she said "I didn't know you wanted me to clean it" So I responded for the rest of the time you live with us "Any time You see Dishes on the counter I want You to clean them up"........I just got the Look....hahahahaha

I sailed through those years without much incidents. My daughter was a great kid. At 15 I had to put the fear of God in her.

She's now in college and doing amazing.

I only got caught doing something really stupid one time...whats funny is that it actually impressed my dad because it took a lot of brains to do it but my mom was not amused...I was grounded for a solid 4 months that year.

I've been lucky not to catch either of them or the Flu for the last 4 yrs.....and honestly that is a major accomplishment when you have a kid in elementary school. I swear every time she starts the new school yr, within the first 4 weeks something starts spreading.

PaJeff - going to try to get to Sayre again in 2 weeks. If it's a go, maybe we can get together one night for dinner and a glass of red wine.

Hey, do you guys remember that post about how an elderly man, whose wife had died, had kept a letter from him for over 50 years or so, from a woman that he dated before they were married, stating that he had a 5 year old son? I can't find the the thread or post, but, did find this today...

It would seem that the reunion for the father and son was thwarted by a DNA test.

That thread had some pretty interesting comments. I have no idea where it is though. Yeah, it's a bummer. He never had children because his late wife couldn't conceive.
