Great oil pressure. 61psi fuel pressure. First start since Oct. Oil was changed in Oct, but I'm going to drain it and look at it. Maybe the motor was completely dry from sitting all winter. It sounded funny when I parked it last fall....nothing like this though.

Wasn't trying to take away from their engine issues, but the Mustang hasn't ran in 6 years.

A 65 with a 393 stroker. I built it 2 years ago, dropped it in, but never fired it up until last night.

Thank you, and yes, big achievement. The car itself has actually been down 6 years. Lots of life has happened over the years. Finally getting it back together.

Nothing fancy, just fired up. It's still in a million pieces. I have to adjust the roller rockers, put a different carb on it, etc... but it ran and didn't blow apart.

If anybody is in the Nashville or surrounding areas we've got some cool stuff planned for Saturday and Sunday...Saturday morning hitting a car show in Nashville and then cruising up to Bowling Green to go to the Corvette Museum...Sunday we are hitting downtown nashville "group of LS guys and gals" and hitting all the CMA events for CMA Fest. Lots of alcohol, lots of music, lots of food...fun times.

    And she'll be there...

    And her...

This was yesterday's "fun" project. 3.2cu yards of concrete. We expanded our porch again. This time so that we can expand the roof out to be able to enclose it (later on, hopefully July's project). Total size now is 26ft x 16ft. Not counting the 10ft x 26ft that is enclosed. I rented one of those concrete buggies and I have to say best damn $150 spent on a rental. I didn't break my back trying to move it with wheel barrows.

Busy ass day at the office with one trip out in the afternoon for a speeding defense case.

2 years? I am going on year 8 or so with the W-31 project... too damn many cars to work on.

Next time take a pair of old valve covers and cut a slot out where the adjusting nuts are. That will keep the oil in the engine and off of the exhaust. I don't know about FoMoCo, but they also have clips that go over the rockers for Chevy's that help control the oil being slung everywhere.

Baccalaureate wasn't too painful. Highlights were a loud deep burp from somewhere up front early on and a member of our group dozing off a couple of times.
