2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
One of many cars I owned back in the 70's was a 67 Barracuda Formula S. 383/727TF. Manual drum brakes and manual steering made it a hand full in all but straight line acceleration. In spite of the fact the exhaust knocked 45HP off of a normal 383 (285 vs 330 due to the restrictions it suffered in the small car) it ran like a scalded dog...

Mopar definately had the edge on performance back then. When I had my Roadrunner, a buddy had a 71 GTX with the 440 6 pack. That thing was a monster. Knew a few guys who had some Max Wedges too. Those were the days.

Damn house ac died......it's 10:20 and it is just now getting to 77* in the house. Was up to 90* @7pm.
The fan on the unit outside isn't turning and sounds like it It turns freely but has that annoying sound when something has burn out or doesn't get enough power to it.
I pulled the fuse and waiting on a guy to come out tomorrow. I just hope I don't get butt raped.

Mornin.
Could just be the capacitor, Scott. They're pretty cheap. Even if it is the motor itself, it shouldn't be that expensive. Get a quote first.

Scott, the humming noise you hear could have been the compressor running as well. Condenser fan motors go all the time, no big deal. They live a pretty hard life, considering the conditions they deal with (extreme heat and wet environment). Like Walt said, ask the guy how much it is before he puts it on. Regardless what it costs, you're getting billed for his time when he's there. Sounds like you're going to need it, so might as well bite the bullet anyhow.
