Dropping the tank or trap door?
Also find out what injectors you're going with yet?

Fuel pump in last weekend. Wire harness also, had to reroute it to the passenger side to be able to hook up to the new alternator location. Just have enough wire to make it.
The replacement alternator wire harness & the fuel injectors came in last night. Smart Fire Injectors, 42lbs $280 for set of 8. Came with a data sheet and I know they've been tested, can smell the fuel still.
Man there is a ton of little stuff to do when you do an engine swap.

It's off at the shop, now the waiting game begins. Somehow I lost my LS1 windage tray. Kinda pissed. Just ordered a new one.

yeah it's the waiting that seems to make it drag on. It's worse now that the block is out of my hands.

1st report back today from shop.
His guys have found surface cracks on the stock LS2 rods where the bearings seat. He says it may hone out, may not. He's telling me that using these in my build with what I got going in in not a good idea. He's recommending a set of SCAT I beams. Opinions?
Also said the block looks real good for having 150k on it. No honing needed. Even the crank and cam journals are straight, no line hone needed.Last edited by SMWS6TA; 09-05-2013 at 01:53 PM.
