    03 Z06 vs 03 E55 AMG

My cousin just bought his AMG and was wanting to just get some runs on film. He's completely stock while I have Kooks headers and X pipe with an intake. Still waiting to get my tune though.

Long tubes ? Otherwise this seems like it should be a pretty even match.

Long tubes means long tube headers. LS6 ZO6 cars are no joke....low 12s out of the box.

I know what long tubes are. I'm asking the OP if he has them. He just said "Kooks". Kooks LTs make power (with a tune anyway). Mids......not so much.

Stock LS6 Z06s are more like mid-high 12s in my experience. Without LTs I see it even.... or the vette going down.

Yeah they're the Kooks longtubes 1 7/8 inch. It wasn't tuned after I had them installed when we did this. Here it was putting down 385 and now after a tune it put down 395hp.

He says Kooks headers in the original post.

I'm not sure why the Corvette is pulling like this either. A stock trim E55 AMG can easily run mid 12's, and with a few mods and some tires can easily run deep into the 11's.

Maybe gearing is playing a role
