Yeah I like to get the kids involved too! Looks like you two are signing the frame. So she can have the car when 14 years from now.

I finished doing a semi-smooth finish on the firewall using the Eastwood Underhood 20% gloss black, and also finished spraying the undercoating under the trans tunnel and meeting it up to the finished wall.
There are some things you just can't test in a white lab coat.

I went today and picked up my LS2 crank (58x) from the Chevy parts department. As we all know, the stock cranks can handle a good amount of power, but when I purchase the rods and pistons they will be forged.

Subscribed! great build up man. I know everyone is talking about how their dad had the car or friend had the car...but hey i am in the same boat so lets rock it. My dad had a '66 chevelle as well and kept telling me how bad ass it was and was telling me some of his kill stories in that beast. Sounds like a modern day me. haha anyways keep up wwith the build and i look forward to seeing more of this.

^^^yup one day you will be telling all your kids/grandkids about your badass WS6, and all your kill stories. And you will also add you car ran on fossil fuel rather than electrons, and made some bad ass sounds as well! Unless I interpreted your response wrong....

I have been getting stuff done on my Chevelle but my work has been a bit hectic and its slowed the car progress. I don't have any recent pics and I'm waiting on a few parts so I can take some more pics. I am going to be taking some time off over the holidays and hopefully over the next couple of weeks I can post my progress. Thanks for checking up on me and giving me a little push, I need that from time to time.

ya i know how you feel. im getting ready to dive into my 6 speed transmission and tear it apart. ive started a little bit. looking at the schematics it looks more like a lego set than anything. Still debating whether or not to start tearing into it this weekend or just hold it off.

Here is the painted trunk with battery box and battery bulkheads going through the floor. I plan on doing a more custom look
down the road but I'm not sure what I will end up doing. For now, the trunk is good enough to drive.
I wanted more of a racing function in the cockpit so I ordered a set of Porsche 944 pedals from SRP Performance and retro
fitted them to my existing pedals. These things are awesome and some pretty good craftsmanship.

I began painting the door jambs and the areas where other weather stripping, glass and other areas that will be cover up once I install body panels or interior. I can't afford to get it painted right now so I am doing stuff like this in hopes that when I get it painted it will blend in nicely.
