Terminator!
Just left my buddys house after watching the Cowboys game and wouldnt you know it, a yellow termi passes in front of me at a stop sign. We both get on the same highway, clean car had a sticker of a place that tunes cars around here on his back windshield. I get him slowed down to 55 on the highway and im in second, i honk it off and we hit and jumped out the same length, i shifted to 3rd and he jumped out a car maybe a lil more when i shifted and i stopped his pull and gained back prolly half a car when i was in 3rd then he shifted and black smoke and flames came out the tail pipes and after he shifted he steadily pulled away from me and by the time i got into 4th gear he was a bus length ahead of me, i held it in 4th for a couple seconds and he kept walking away so i shut down. He was obviously pullied and tuned since he was shooting out flames lol the supercharger wasnt that loud but definantly audible so maybe p&p. I was very pleased with my car it was my first actualy really good race. My mods are ls6 cam, LT's true duals, ls1 intake :/ lid, dyno tuned (dont have the numbers cuz im 4th owner and it was done somewhere up north by Maximum Motion) pro 5.0 with lou's short stick

Maybe I'm the only one who caught this, but flames coming out of the tailpipes would mean unburnt fuel...which would most likely mean, a loss of power.

Hmm, I specifically remember seeing some thick black smoke and some flames and I heard couple loud pops when he shifted, I tried to follow him to get him pulled over so we could chat but he didn't exit, not really sure what the smoke and flames and popping are but I always thought that flames at high rpm's meant your engine was just hauling ass spitting out the air fuel mix before it burnt it all

Aww man, I wish I ran into one of those when I had blue. Did you stretch the rpms out? Always got the most power in the upper rpms.

Sure did, if I'm racing I'm shifting her at 5500 rpm maybe a bit more, also the new 1 7/8" headers open up my top end pretty good

He is saying that flames coming out of the tailpipes is for show. The cars on F&F have flames coming out the tailpipes because they've added a device to do so for added effect.
If it happens without it being intentional, it means exactly what I said above...unburnt fuel. Black smoke is pretty common to see on a supercharged car when shifting at WOT because it's an indication the car is running rich, which is most likely how the tuner tuned the car to run at WOT when the fuel demand is the highest. You don't want a high HP car leaning out at the top end any which could cause detonation.
The popping noise is backfiring, which is again unburnt fuel igniting in the exhaust.

Ok that makes sense about the black smoke now, I remember my r6 would shoot out a flame when I shifted at high rpm's I didn't know if it applied to a lower revving engine
