Took a while looking at things to figure out the best way to do it -- but it worked out perfectly. Thanks!

Jeff - On the way in to work this morning I passed a shop near my house and there was a vehicle parked outside in the parking lot with the hood up. There was what appeared to be a steel tube across the top of the engine. At a quick glance it looked similar to your set-up above. I would have stopped to take a shot of it, but I was in a hurry.

Went downstate this weekend -- just logged back in to check on things now. I'm not aware of any local shops versed in LS engines. Two closest shops (which aren't really close) would be New Era in Rochester and Redline Motorsports in Schenectady.

Most the homemade tools involve grinding, cutting, or heating/bending. It is advised that they should be made from the perfect person, or by the perfectionists. They are not easy to hunt.
