Changed the serpentine belt. In the 5 minutes it took me my neighbor came over and asked what was wrong. Showed him the old belt and he goes oh this is still in good shape why are you changing it. I responded with because it started squealing the other day when I drove it. It had the typical signs it was wearing out. Of course by the sound of my neighbors car he waits till his just wear out completely. He continued with why i should wait to replace it since I barely drive the car and I probably can't hear it over the exhaust. Obviously I could since I told him it was squealing. At this I point I knew he wasn't going to shut up so I just walked around the car and started it up. Just to make sure it worked ok. Not like I was trying to drone him out with the dumped exhaust or anything. Did I mention he hates my exhaust especially when I drive it to work and leave at 630 am.

I got one of those neighbors that every time I'm in the front yard or garage she has to come out and see what we're doing.

My entire subdivision gives me the thumbs up. I've even taken some of the kids for rides with their parents permission.

Most of my neighbors are cool and also give my the thumbs up when I'm rolling by , or holler out "light em' up!!", but I too have that 1 neighbor that has been there, done that, or knows a guy with something better or faster. I just stop what I'm doing when he comes over and say, "bathroom break". Wait until he leaves, then I come back out and finish up. So annoying.

My neighbors could care less that I live next to them . Not a bad thing though. I do enjoy running through town in 3rd gear, echoing off the buildings. Makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside when little kids yell out nice car though.

Took mine out for a drive out in the country. Breathtaking weather in the Houston area. Mid. 40's, bright blue skies.

It is really cool to see 8-15 year old kids yelling out, "cool car " when you cruise by. I guess in their eyes, 1998 is old 😲

I would like to see that, I've had some interest in putting them in a similar place just didn't know much about clearance issues. A lot of guys put just one back on the mid pipe just before the rear

reading about you guys in Md & Pa driving your cars makes me feel bad that I haven't had mine out all year yet,, but now that snowmagedon has just about melted away - we get all the melt run off all over the place and salt powder everywhere. I have another veh. to drive and can't justify trashing a really clean car !! not to mention summer only tires that don't like under 40 deg. REALLY looking forward to spring. They're talking about more snow Tues /Wed. GRRRR!

    2000 WS6 vert!

I ordered some TSP LTs and carted Y-pipe! Considering the Rumbler cat-back vs my LM! Hmmm!

    Any thoughts or recommendations?

S N O W ! So, I had to drive a very short distance in 1-inch snow. Great. But, as soon as started up a semi-steep (I mean, not too steep... my Subaru would have eaten it up in 8 inches of snow) driveway, I lost traction in rear and began to slide back and sideways. Would it have helped if I pressed the TCS Traction Control Switch off? I didn't think of till later --- AFTER I had put 2 logs behind tires as an overnight chuck !!! --- but then I realized maybe the manual said something about this?

    Don't we have limited slip diffs in a '99 Trans-Am 6-speed WS6 ?

Anyway, what do I do in snowy driveway slope: leave TCS as is, or turn off? I confused.

I also tried using my lumbar/lateral support buttons on '99 WS6 T/Am for first time since buying car as 3rd owner months ago. I just didn't care that much at first. Pass. side inflates like factory-new, driver side is caput, no work for either lumbar/lateral but can hear pump motor whizzing. Is there a good LS1.com Forum link you can direct me to? Thanks Gents n Ladies.
