Silver- 1999 Trans-Am, 2012 Sonic
Ordered these today to hopefully combat that god awful tire spin for our Fall pilgrimage to the Beaver.
Mounting them up to my rims and going to buy another set of rims in the spring to mount up my street tires. I love the look of my car and want to keep it that way on play days and cruising around with the street tiresLast edited by kingls1; 08-29-2015 at 08:07 AM.

I've done some reading on the subject and Nitto suggests you match front and rear such as NT05-front and NT05R-Rear and NT555-F and NT555R-R
If I were buying to run all the time I would look at NT555's they seem to have a good rep of lasting longer than the 05's and I like the tread design for street a lot better. A lot of people running the 05's Claim the rain they are down right scary..I only plan to run the 05's on track days and don't really plan to run them on the street after this fall. I'm going to pick up another set of matching rear rims for my street tires over the winter. I've only had it in rain half dozen times so not a real concern but the ? is why chance running them on the street if not needed. Actually I like as well as OTHERS like when I lose traction on the street!

Move the 555's up to the front and get the 555R for the rear and all will be good

No not yet, going to wait a week or two no real need for them on the street just wear them out faster...basically got them for track days and I'm buying another set of matching rims over the winter for my street tires.
I'm thinking October as September is very busy for me and it is way too hot right now, but we got to watch last two years we talked about one later in October or earlier in November and it snowed!!!!!

Don't know if you were joking about the Cool Part but I was going to take mine today and its so stinking Hot here I decided to let her stay in the cool shaded garage. I had mine out for a 285 mile journey on Sunday with the Wife that was going perfect until the sky's opened up and when we got to our destination it was about a mile down a dirt road where it never rained and the car was soaked. So gave her a special bath to remove all the dirt and bugs last evening and put away..

I let my daughter drive it home from breakfast! (2nd time driving her!) Then I taught her how to do her first burnout ever!🎉😊
I'm so excited to see her so happy she was actually giggling as the tires were burning! All she said was, "I've never felt a car walk out like that!"😝😎😊😍Last edited by udy2554; 09-13-2015 at 08:40 AM.
