Oh, don't get me wrong. It makes a mess and is a hazard. I was just saying that if you use a little common sense and a shop vac, most problems could be avoided.

Man Scott I'm super nervous about it this is what I have done so far

I'm thinking of using a shop vac right where I'm cutting to suck it away. Anyhow that is where I left it Friday and had a super long weekend with softball tournament for my daughter so I'm dog tired and going to wait until tomorrow when I'm fresh.

    ^^ Looks good to me.

Finally received the correct fuel pressure regulator and installed it this evening. All is now right and the car is ready to go.

I went a little further with protection, I took the old valley plate gasket and traced the inside cut it out and placed it down inside and duct taped 3/4 around.

Then re covered it with the cloth.

Used my shop vac during the cut worked very well had very little to clean up.

Maybe a little anal but better safe than sorry

Jeff - refresh my recollection. You're installing a different valley plate too?

Jeff - great job...that's exactly how I did mine. Had a friend hold a shop vac while I grind off the tab.

Other Jeff- he's installing the LS6 VCT. On most 01< blocks you need to notch that piece off for the pcv tube to clear.

cant do it this weekend, but im going to start on the wire hide mod sometime in the next couple of weeks...im also going to relocate the TCS module that is by the battery. Do you guys recommend splicing into the wiring for the TCS to relocate it with the cruise control or running it as far to the left as possible and trying to hide it under where the fender rolls over into the engine bay?

I like having it for rain "not that I ever drive my car in the rain..." I just like having the factory options that came on the car lol

wait...I think I worded it wrong...the cruise control is what I was thinking about...its a separate wire with a separate connection if I remember correctly. Does it go through the same box?

this controls the cruise too right?

Thanks Ron! It took a long time (several months due to one of their machines breaking) but it was well worth it. Their customer service is excellent. They machined for 3/8" pushrods for free because of how long it was taking. Now just to get everything put together plus a few odds and ends and a tune.

I would prob stay awake all night tossing and turning. When I 1st bought my D1SC, I hated waiting to gather up all the extra parts to make it all come together. Well worth the wait though, to do it correctly and not have any worries about a big BOOM, just because you take a shortcut.
