Got the transmission out today. Looks like the teeth on the pump that the converter slid into blew apart.

The stock DeCarbons are not valved to handle a lowering spring that has a different spring rate of compression. This is why you need to change the springs along with the shocks if you didn't do it that way.

As soon as I brought her home, we did a few upgrades too. LCA, Panhard Rod, and SFC's. Sway Bar will have to wait.

Hey Dave, after you installed your lower control arms, did you get any noise out of them when you hit a bump in the road? My rearend sounds like it's going to fall out from underneath the car when I hit even the smallest bump in the road. Nice pics. The paint looks really good man.

I got a little "squeak" on the passenger side but nothing major. Next week when we change the sway bar, I'll take a better look and see what I can do to eliminate that squeak. It's just very annoying

    -sidenote-
Did you grease them? I know they don't come pre-greased

I ordered the mounting kit for the rear sway bar on a 9" axle, the things you find out along the way. I also got rid of my tunnel mounted torque arm in favor of a transmission crossmember mounted torque arm. next is my tick master cylinder.....

. I'm still running my stock sway bar and stock mounts with my 9". Does yours hit? It's definitely a tight fit.

Replaced the passenger window motor. Car only has 32,000 miles on it (bought it new) and I've now replaced both window motors. Not difficult but not an exciting way to spend my free time. However, now I can drive it to work tomorrow.

Got my fuel rail covers in the mail today. Got the paint out of the lettering. Cutting and paint will come in a few days. I'll post pics when they are finished.

have you done the autotrix passenger side window fix...? My passenger side motor was about dead and I did the autotrix fix and it started working like it was brand new...

Yeah it hits on the mounting point for the torque arm, I got the mounting kit from spohn, it has longer end links and spacers for the u bolt

its a hard wire for your passenger side window motor. Instead of sharing power from the drivers side "design flaw" it pulls straight from the aux power post under the hood of your car. it'll make your window motor fly up and down and its cheaper than a new motor...here's a link:

Here are a few shots of the sway bar with the mounting kit on it. you can see it hangs lower and is further away from the torque arm mount. The last picture is the firebird my brother painted on my wheels for me so I could cover up that corvette flag lol. I will tell you all though, I never want to touch another suspension component again!

Swapped over to the track wheels, washed her and loaded her onto the trailer for a trip to the drag strip on Saturday.
