    And... if you guys want to talk insurance. Uninsurance and underinsurance are what protects you. Liability only protects the other guy. If you have multiple vehicles go with the stacked option. Limited tort versus full tort (like here in PA), do yourself a favor and go with full tort. Lecture over.

    So I finally let the mod bug get to me. When I bought the car, to my knowledge, everything was stock minus the magnaflow catbacks. Today I ordered a lid, strut tower brace, and I'm waiting on the weather to clear up to put my new exhaust tips on it....

    I've already made a list of all the other parts I'm planning on buying...I guess this is how it starts huh? Haha

    Comprehensive = vandalism, glass etc
    Collision = Accident where body and mechanical damages are incurred.
    I do know the difference between comp, collision and liability...Just thought there might be something different for glass repairs.

    Limited tort versus full tort? Not sure what that means. I do have multiple vehicles including my bike..Stacked?? These are terms I'm not familiar with.

    In Pennsylvania, you have to elect a "tort" option. Limited tort insurance is cheaper, but you give up your right to bring a lawsuit in the event of an accident unless you suffer SBI -- serious bodily injury. This is generally defined as death, disfigurement, loss of function, loss of use, broken bones, etc. The problem is that many people suffer from soft tissue injuries in accidents, ie. cervical acceleration-deceleration syndrome, more commonly known as whip lash. A person could suffer from pain the rest of their life, but is precluded from bringing an action to recover damages for pain and suffering. Full tort insurance, which costs more, has no such limitation.

    Stacking applies when you have multiple vehicles. If I carry liability of 100,000/300,000 on each vehicle, which means $100,000 per person, $300,000 per accident, I can also add uninsurance (UM) and underinsurance (UIM) of equal, but not greater, limits to protect myself. Uninsurance applies if you get taken out by a driver with no insurance (way too many of them out there) and underinsurance applies if you get taken out by a driver that carries low limits. In PA, you are only required to carry 15,000/30,000, which these days can go up in smoke in a hurry in medical bills unless you have good first party benefits or health insurance. With multiple vehicles, you can "stack" your coverages, which simply means add them all up and that is your total insurance coverage for your UM and UIM. We have 6 vehicles on our policy now with stacked coverages, so I have available $600,000.00 in coverage for us if we get wiped out in an accident by another driver.

    First Party medical is nice as it is "free money" -- meaning you do not have to pay it back out of the proceeds from any lawsuit. This is as opposed to your primary health insurance that is going to bring a subrogation action to be reimbursed for what it is out. With the cost of health care, medical bills running into 6 digits is not difficult to achieve in a serious accident.

    I wonder if this is considered Mod bashing. I'll think it over some more and report back.

    Got my slp lid in the mail today, so I put it on. Actually has a nice fit which surprised me since that's the biggest complaint I hear about them.

    Set all the parts next to it, until next month when I'll have the chance to tear it down.

    Did a 2-day buff job, went into the shop for a lil welding repair on the drivers side window track. Then off to get windows tinted on Thurs. Since we have no need to roll the windows down anytime soon with this weather, figured the time was right.
