Clunking or transmitting road noise into the cabin? Did you tighten the snot out of the front bushings?

Preping for my Moser 9", I installed a UMI panhard bar, new lower control arms and a tunnel brace mounted torque arm. I will put picks up later today when I get the axle mounted up. Cant wait to see what going from a 3.42 to a 3.90 is gonna get me!

The rear ones should come off once they're all drilled out, just need to maneuver them a little tricky because they're slightly bigger than the hole to the filter =P
What do you gain by debaffleing the hood?

Transmitting road noise mostly, and oddly some additional noise while decelerating. Probably my rear end screaming for more help, lol.

Well, in theory, a much more direct airflow from outside to the airbox. Makes it a more true ram air set up. As far as gains, I don't know. It's always reversible so I'm not worried about it. I did a lot of research and most people have had it done for years and haven't had any water or issues at all so, figured I'd try it.

To see any gains from this you need to seal the hood to the lid, otherwise the air is simply blowing around it. I believe more benefits are seen from the free ram air mod than an unsealed debaffeled hood.

Agree 100%. Just didn't mention that part because I haven't done anything yet. :P

Like the volant set up right? I have the volant that seals to the hood. Also I have a question, I have heard the volant doesn't supposedly seal that great to the WS6 hood, that doesn't exactly make sense to me. Is that true, and also how do you tell if it is sealing correctly or not.

what did your car start doing when your ignition messed up... My dad says mine is going out, when it's cold i go to start it for the first time during the day and it's like the starter sticks. i have to keep doing it over and over then finally it stops , how much was your ignition ?

I got the 9" installed, along with the umi panhard lowers and tq arm. Talk about a pain in the butt, if it was not for my dremel tool and about 10 cutting blades that thing would of never went together!

As for the axles the 3.90's really did a good job waking the car up, now I just have to get it tuned so i know how fast I am going!

Took it for its first drive after new heads, cam, lifters, pushrods, oil pump, water pump, dual timing chain, pulleys, belts, plugs, plug wires, throttle body, and fuel rails. Only broke the oil pressure wire (not the sender - ripped the wire out of the connector plug) and the water temperature sensor (which happens everytime I unbolt my driver's side header). Much better response but it needs a tune!

Took the grinder to the rear calipers to try and fit the Weld Prostars on. Lots more to go...headache from the grinder noise is stopping me for today.

Back to shopping for deals on parts for the GTP.
