You bigger question is that does your state to allow LT headers?

There are a few brands that sell the EGR compatible headers. Pacesetter is one, but why when you can delete the egr & air pump systems. A Frost tune will remove them form the ecm and allow you to pass most state inspections.

I believe Maryland just requires all emission equipment to be on the car and functional, and I have seen MD inspected F-body cars, with headers, being sold at GM dealerships.

It's a 2002, so I don't have to worry about the EGR, I only have to worry about the tubes for the secondary air check valves for the air pump. To be honest, I want to keep the emissions equipment on, its not like they really hurt the cars performance that much these days, especially something that only operates during cold starts.

Then Pacesetter Headers have the tube provision for it.

Check with Carpy he should know about MD.

Thanks for the advice on that, I will keep that in mind. Right now though, I am more worried about cat and back.

I'm in MD and I have had long tube headers on my street legal car for well over 10 years. I got rid of the air pump, air tubing, cats, and egr tubing. After the Frost tune, I never once had an issue with going through emissions. They plug up to the OBDII port under the dash . As long as the SES light isn't on, your fine. The extra added weight of all the stuff I took off can only help the car's performance, well 1/4 performance anyway.

Seems my German Shepherd had different plans this morning, She was acting all pissed off and giving a low growl at the window. I looked but didn't see anything. So when I go to leave for work she bolts out the door on a mission. 2 seconds later I see the cat bolt across the street with Stormy close on her ass. Up a tree the cat goes at the last second as Stormy closed in on it. So I go get Stormy and bring her back, normally I would scold her for leaving like that because she knows better but this time I gave her a treat. Maybe this will keep the damn cat off my cars.

LOL, I know Jeff. Its not that I hate cats, I just don't like them all over my damn cars! The little paw prints aren't THAT big of a deal really, its the claw marks that really piss me off.

Is that also a line lock? If so, I see some big smoky burnouts in the near future! LOL

I want a line lock so my front brakes can do just the braking. I tried a quick little one last night with my buddy and the rear brakes just hold it back so much.

Just out of curiosity, what is the benefit of removing the ABS?

For me a few reasons, first off I have a 3 channel abs car and a Moser 9 inch rear end, the rear end has a sensor bung on top of the center section housing but the bung was to tall so the sensor would not get good readings off the differentials reluctor wheel which would throw codes and put the abs module into a sort of limp mode. Reason two is that the F body's brakes have always felt pretty anemic and I traces that down to the abs module reducing pressure, withe the delete kit you get proportional pressure from pedal to front brakes and a proportional valve to adjust the percentage of that to the rear. Lastly if you do auto cross or like to drift around it makes it easier since you can lock up the brakes.

Your holding the brake to hard. You need to apply less pressure to the brake pedal which allows the rears to spin. It's a fine art that takes a lil practice to get right. I did a cam, headers install in a buddies 01 SS. I showed him how to burn em' up, but he hasn't quit got the hang of it yet. LOL

I did this years ago with my factory TA wheels. I bought an extra set and put my drag radials on my spare rims so it matches going to the track.
