Took it for a short run, planning to wash it. Tried getting it to do a stand still but can't seem to. I left it in 1st and let it pull itself, then hit the gas and brake, stalled it. As I have said I don't like the idea of dropping the clutch on a sit-still. Is it programmed factory to not have any spin? I don't have a traction control on/off switch in the console.

You need to kind of feather the clutch to get the car rolling forward, and lightly push on the brake until the car stops rolling. I rest my right foot 1/2 way on the brake and 1/2 on the gas. Then roll my foot onto the gas. After the rear wheels start to turn, let off the clutch and use your left foot to hold the brake with just enough pressure to keep the car from rolling. Then progressively give it more gas. It will take a bit of practice to get it right. OOORRRRRRR you can get a line lock and really smoke em!! LOL

Thanks for the advice. Perhaps I can find a YouTube of it to help with a visual display hahah. I would be interested in a line lock if it is harmless to the brake system and a sime install. All I know about those is they prevent brake fluid from getting to the rear brakes.but the better smoke show and at a faster rate would be nice.

I think a line-lock maintains the line pressure to the front after releasing the brake pedal.
1. Step on the brake.
2. Activate line-lock.
3. Release brake. (Front brakes will be maintained, rears will release!)
4. HEAT 'EM UP😛

What did you do with your Trans Am today?
Yes that is how a line locks work. Not hard to install. About 30 mins to an hr. Hard part is running the wire.
If you get one make damn sure to pay attention to your rpms. Don't bounce it off the rev limiter. Ask me why I have a 403ci build.....http://www.ls1.com/forums/f7/my-6-liter-build-174257/

If you get a line lock. you will absolutely LOVE IT!! As peeps have said before, it's a simple install, does not affect the safety or function of the stock brakes. Fairly cheap too! The only issue your gonna have is buying new tires. LOL

Today my GF and I fixed the moisture in her tail light and replaced a bulb.... That's pretty much it... Oh, and took the '03 Vette out for a ride. We just wanted to check out the Aero Chambers that I had installed on that car last week. Super awesome sound to both the LS1's. But the Vette system sounds better imo.

Hope there's a giant learning curve for me!😊
One of the big reasons for me to have this is the possibility of long, smoky burnouts! I call it a toy for a reason!😜
Oh, I just got the front components in! Pretty big difference from the Infinitis that had been installed! Lots more bass response and a lot less "tinny" highs! AWESOME! (And highly recommended! Ian Kee knows his shit!😀Last edited by udy2554; 07-19-2015 at 01:13 PM.

I rarely turn the stereo on in our car, but if I ever do pop a speaker I'll be sure to go with Kee.
