Annual inspection.
Put mine in today for the annual inspection.
Over here we call it an MOT which is the Ministry Of Transport test.
The tester was having a ball testing something so different from the
normal rubbish, as he put it!
I was just slightly concerned over the emissions reading with the hi flow
Magnaflow cats in place. No worries though as it passed this and everything
else with flying colors!! He mentioned the funny creak i have from the rear
end and said he thinks it is the shock. Could a shock get dry and sqeak/creak
in this way i wonder??
Also... busy right now making a replacement throttle cable bracket so i do
not have to chop into the passenger side fuel rail cover. Finally got them to fit
ok once i figured out the wiring in the plastic conduit held on to the fuel rails
was stopping them going down properly.

Hey speedyWS6 , Did you not have any luck with the WD40 spray on all the rear sway bar and swing arm components? I really don't think a shock would cause the sound your speaking of, BUT anything is possible and it still could be the shock. I really think the squeak is gonna be a bushing in the arm that comes off the rear and connects to the body just in front of the rear tire. There is one on each side. The proper name is "rear control arm".

Head Gaskets came in yesterday, so IF I can finish the back porch project I'll be able to start this circus of putting the engine back together again....

Hope all goes well with reassembly. If not, we're all coming down to either help make it right... or help burn it to the ground.

Yesterday we got up early, put the slicks on and uncorked the exhaust and loaded the car in the trailer. Drove 2 hrs to the track (grove creek) only to sit there for hours at the locked gate. Only to have the d-bag owner cancel the race because he is a d-bag 3 hours after the gates were soppose to open.
Drive home unload car and go out for a spin.Using Tapatalk

Well....
been fiddling and in a previous post i mentioned the throttle cable bracket
i was going to knock up.
Here she is and it DOES clear the fuel rail cover nicely so there is NOT a need
to hack the cover about. Always bugged me seeing some of the hatchet jobs
and just never wanted to do it!!
I eased the angle of pull of the cable over a bit but it
still pulls pretty straight.
On to the next fiddle!!

Looks good - but you should stuff that cruise module back by the PCM and get it out of sight.

I picked up some decent floor mats from "CARID.com". They have some different levels of quality to choose from. They also have the tabs on the bottom of them to keep them in place and not slide around.

They Def are a lil pricey, but are a nice quality. I have a black car, so I got the black mats with the red bird in the center. I do however think they would be nicer if they had the nipples on the underside, they would be a little nicer. If you use the hold down tabs that come with them, they stay in place nicely.
