haha dude I dont see it...people tell me how good it looks all the time and I just cant get it how I want it "maybe its because I know where every little imperfection is?". I have spent COUNTLESS hours on the paint...now im spending countless hours under the car.
Cleaned the engine bay yesterday for the first time with simple green and im REALLY impressed with how well it looks now. I've always done it by hand until yesterday.2000 Black TA M6 - LT's, ORY, UMI Short Stick, TT2's, Drilled/Slotted Rotors, Braided Lines, and Tuned by Vengeance SCCA and Car Show Approved

fixed my Y pipe leak last night...nothing a couple bolts and a clamp couldnt handle! Went ahead and did the free ram air mod under the lid too. I've done that to every one of my previous Fbody's except this one so I went ahead and did that last night.
Pretty sure my EGR tube that goes into the top of my intake is leaking again tho...I need to rip that system out and call it a day. I yanked the secondary air system out a while back, but didnt touch the EGR yet.

Pewter- 2002 Trans Am WS6 M6
Ugh found a screw in the tread of the rear tire. Not even 4 months old and already punctured. Of course it's close to the side wall of the tire so hopefully a tire shop can fix it.

Ordered some new spark plugs this morning. Got gas up in the mountains this weekend that was advertised as 93 octane but I dont think it was...car started popping after that. Hopefully new plugs will fix the issue...
you can hear it and see it in this video some...started smoking a little bit too.

I over revved my ls1 a few years back when down shifting from drive to 2nd. I was speeding on the beltway and somebody jumped in front of me. (100% my fault, shouldn't have been driving at that speed) I slowed it down and avoided the car by slamming on the brakes and down shifting the car. I buried my tach beyond the numbers and bent 4 valves. After removing both heads, I was pleased to find out that the valves bent and didn't hurt the pistons other then a small scratch/ding in them. I replaced the entire valve train and opted for a new cam while I was there. It's been fine for over 8yrs now, but I got lucky. Hopefully you will have the same luck. Good luck.

Finally got around to getting rid of all the secondary AIR set up.
There is some serious amounts of rubber hose there!!
But not anymore.....
Have to say that Jeff's sticky on this is spot on and i only bled a little!!
LT headers, Kooks Y, Frost tune. Magnaflow cats, all arrived over here and they
will be fitted over the next few days.
Can't wait

Your not kidding about all the hoses from the AIR system! You prob lost about 30lbs worth of unnecessary weight. Although I decided to use most of the hoses from the AIR system for my oil breather tank. Left the hoses on the drivers side wheel well and put the oil tank where the air pump use to be. Looks very neat and clean.

Well...
Today i had the car on the lift at my buds garage and the swearing
and cussing began!!
Spent what seemed like an age getting the factory manifolds off.
The coil packs were easy enough on the pass side and an absolute
nightmare on the drivers side due to the difficulty in getting to the rear
most 10mm bolt!! Got all the header bolts out safely though... this was a worry for
me!
Then the "fun" began. The TSP LT headers kinda fit where they touch
We spent about four hours and finally got the drivers side in to where it almost fits but
the engine mount will have to come right off for some serious surgery to allow the header
tube to pass by it (almost has to go THROUGH it!!!!!!!). Also had to "adjust" some sheetmetal
near the drivers motor mount with a selection of hammers and blocks of wood!!!!!!!
As well as that, the pressed steel member just down from the motor mount will have to
have the welded flange SERIOUSLY ground back so the flange of it will pretty much be gone!
We will have to seam weld it back after the grinding. Then , and only then, will the mating face
the header be anywhere close to being in a position to be bolted down to the head!!
I see the pass. side fitment needing the same welded flange being ground
right back to allow the header to go up into a position close to being correct!! I wish i knew
the right term for the bit i am describing, but if you have been there i imagine you know the piece!?
The "fun" will re-commence tomorrow morning. Cannot wait!
