I was just having a little fun. Your car disappeared in that cloud & the roar from that LS1 died shortly thereafter. Glad to see you made it back to post again.

I think your car needs a tune up. It was idling funny and a bit high just before you took off.

I recently looked at the Mickey Thomspon Street Comp tires. Our car may need new shoes this year and I saw them advertised in a car mag.

    Well,

We FINALLY have some settled weather and yesterday the car had a full number on it.

Damn good wash followed by a full claybar job and then some decent quality sealants and waxes

Then went inside for a good interior clean and used some Zaino leather in a bottle. Wonderful smell, that stuff.

Just finished the door crack routine as well. had both off and did the little nuts and bolts as a preventative rather than
a fix but happy these are done.

And...... enjoyed driving it with the new Magnaflow catback. I just love the looks as these cars are just few and
far between over here.... Had a guy in a Honda with a fart can looking over and he just had no clue at all!!

I found a donor door and am going to take it off tomorrow. How hard is it to remove the electrical wiring that is connected to the door? The door is being sold complete, window glass, motor, everything included. Will I have to remove the door panel to disconnect the wiring? Or can I remove the kick-panel and disconnect the wiring from the car, and pull it through the grommet in the door jamb? I would like to keep the new door wiring intact as much as possible.

    Thanks!

I have never removed an entire door before, but from my many years of watching car shows, I know your gonna have to remove the front fender to get to the mounting bolts for the door and also to properly align it with the lines of the car and lock mechanism. The inside door panel is also going to be removed so you can unplug the window motor, door lock switch, and speaker wires.

    Hmmmmm

Had an Auto electrician around today to track down a weird fault with the lights.

This is something you guys would never encounter as when a car is shipped over it has to have
a lighting conversion so the rear turn signals flash amber instead of red. Also a fog light has to be wired
in to make the car comply with our daft rules and regs. The car looks all red lenses though when not signalling.

The car was showing solid amber at all four corners whilst driving and it was down to the DRL box
behind the Monsoon not being disabled and the parking brake, it seems, "enables" the DRL box when
    you release the handle.

Still.... i had the horror of watching the guy completely strip the dash apart and start probing and
poking to track this fault down.... more money but only about $100 so not too bad. Could have done
    without it though!!

I pick up the fourth and final wheel for the car from the wheel specialist tomorrow after having the
back painted bright silver for ease of keeping clean whilst having the full strip and polish on the front.

Due to Dave (Nutball) shipping me over a fifth Speedline i have a spare so just wait 'til you see what
i am going to do with that!!!

    Any ideas, anybody??
