SFC's group purchase

Here's the scoop guys -- both UMI and KY Speed are great companies to deal with. You get products that are made in the U.S. of A. and they are quality pieces that fit our cars. Both companies are active on our site with guys like Ryan from UMI and Mark from KY Speed helping out with application and installation questions.

I have personally worked with these two on our Trans Am build for the past 2 years -- I can pick up the phone and talk to them, I can e-mail or PM them, and they are always quick to respond. You simply don't get this level of customer service from most companies these days. A few weeks ago, our site members started a thread asking for a deal on SFC's... and two of our sponsors joined forces to make that happen.

The combination of both 15% off and free shipping is a pretty sweet deal. If I did not already have UMI SFC's on our car, I would be joining in. The fact that this same deal may be offered elsewhere is really of no importance -- you don't expect your local Sears or Autozone store to sell something for less than the one in the next town over, do you?

These days, any dollar saved on aftermarket parts for our cars is a good thing. This is an opportunity to save a handful of those dollars... don't let it go to waste. I'm looking forward to seeing some threads with pics of you guys installing your new SFC's -- trust me, you will really appreciate the difference they make.

I have to agree with Jeff on this. Sometimes it always isn't about buying it from the lowest cost vendor. I've asked Mark numerous questions and he has always returned my phone calls and responded to my PM's. Same goes with UMI. You have to think that if I am asking questions, how many others are asking questions? Probably 100's as there are several thousand members on this site.

The fact that they both are active on this site and offer their expertise when they can says a lot to me about the type of business they run. Yes they are site sponsors and pay to be a sponsor as they try to promote their business here to get sales. But look at how many other site sponsors there are here. I would have to say Mark and UMI put in their time here.

For me, even if their cost wasn't the lowest I will still go to them for this reason. However, in this case, UMI and KYSPEED are essentially "matching" the price other vendors are offering.

Unfortunately I think Im gonna have to sit this one out.

I HAVE to buy new rims and tires this month, thats gonna run me $1500, and I'm trying to get some Cirque Du Soleil tickets for V-day.
