I agree... now that the weather is better, definitely ease up on the street racing a bit. Will be racing with the LS1 tomorrow night, and my buddy will be running his 95' GSX (if it doesn't snow).

Quite a few EVO's kept up with my 454 at the track. Some even won... heh, after I redlined, of course.

Haha yeah, I shouldnt be street racing but its quite tempting down here, so many available races. I heard it was going to snow but of course the forecast changed and its suppose to nice and clear around 25-30*.

I edited my last post to ask you what the TCI-SSC was in your sig on the TA. I assume its transmission related. Also, what does your Z run?

That is really about what a 04 GTO runs...well the GTO is maybe about a tenth slower in each category, but easily close enough to call it even for the broad categories we were talking. Bone stock I ran a 13.3 in mine, and a 13.1 with nothing but some nitto drags. I still feel that what I said was right in line. We don't all have to agree on everything.

One thing I did want to point out is to try andkeep in mind the gearing differences...the 04 GTO has 3:42's in both transmissions...other than ss, ws6 and some special addition f-bodies the lower gearing for most of the f-bodies would easily off-set the weight difference of the heavier GTO.

That is great, I have to...unfortunately "all motor" doesn't quite mean stock...neither does "sprayed". We are not talking modded cars here buddy. Once you start modding all precedence is out the window.

Eitherway, I have grown tire of this debate. I will make no further replies on this subject in this thread, I have said all I need to say, I don't pretend to think that anyone's mind is going to change here, mine included.

    I didn't list the Big Block's mods.

    The LS1 runs mid/high 12's w/out slicks.

Has anyone said that maybe the drivers of the LS1’s don’t want to waste their 93 octane?
