Blanket response to all of the "you are wrong the GTO is slower" people:
What you believe to be accurate is not really a concern to me. Say what you want, my personal experience has shown otherwise. I am not going to waste any more of my time or yours arguing about it.

the 04 gto has 350 hp tq of 365 ft/lb and has a curb weight or 3725..i believe a trans am as approx 3400 and even tho is rated at 320, in reality has something more like 345 and somewhere in the area of 350 ft/lb...if the drivers were identical, how can u justify that a gto is as fast when it has about 300 lb more than the f-bodys?

An average driver on street tires will run anywhere between 13.6-13.3. A good driver on street tires will run between 13.3-13.1 On drag radials an average driver should be able to run 13.3-13.1. A really good driver should run between 13.1-12.8.

I came across a z28 camaro today on the highway. He was driving really agressive so i thought this might be my chance from a roll. I slowed down to about 50mph and dropped to 3rd gaer. I saw in my rearview that he is passing cars like crazy and once he got next to me i was gonna let him have it. Well he got next to me at a fast pace and i WOT on 3rd and leave him behind to my rear bumper. Then he slowed down. After i slowed down and there was a car in front of me, He wot's and takes off. I can hear his exhaust pretty loud. Are they loud when stock?? I thought maybe hed slow down to really go from a roll but no luck.
