    cluth pedal sensor error??

I just replaced a clutch MC in my 2001 camaro ss....now I keep getting an SES code "clutch pedal sensor error". I keep resetting it with my scanner and it occasionally comes back. Does this sensor need replaced or is there something I forgot to do after the MC install??

check your pedal height. if the pedal sits any lower than with the old MC you will need to adjust the sensor that tells the ECU that the pedal has been fully released. It very easy. Just unclip it and you can screw the sensor out further to meet the pedal.

You can verify that this is indeed the problem without getting under the dash. just try engaging the cruise control.... can't? then yeah you gotta adjust the switch(sensor)

thanks for the help man. I will try that when I get home. Hopefully that is the issue. I'll let you know if that solves the problem.

What you said +1. The clutch switch probably got bumped/moved during the install. Make like a snake and get back under the dash to check it.

Thanks guys.....well indeed the switch needed adjusted. It looks like there were 2 switches. the one at the bottom of the floor was pushing in when clutch pedal was pushed. It was actually the switch at the top when the clutch pedal is at rest. That wasn't even pushed in. I reset the code and took it for a spin. The light is off so far. Thanks again for the help.
