I've been saying for years that the NA 2V 5.4 needs to be in a GT, the NA 4V in a mid level (like a Boss or Mach) and the SC 4V 5.4 in a Cobra

For some reason, Ford is selling mustangs like hot cakes still. That's why I believe they dont' feel pressured to upgrade. If the Challenger(425) and the Camaro(400) do what they are supposed to do, they'll be forced to get it going.

Me too, and since I'll be out of college by the point that I can get one, I'm thinking forced induction... Either that or keep my LS1 around and make it a nasty barely legal drag car.

As much as I'd like for you to be right, Ford's history is suspect. When Chevy stepped up to a 285hp (right?) LT1, Ford stepped down 10 hp to the 4.6, and then they stayed that way for 4 years. When chevy stepped up to the LS1, Ford increased the output of the Stang by a whopping 35 hp.

The only stang that I think Ford will keep competitive is the Cobra.

Ford just kinda does its own thing.

If they act stubborn like that with all this excitement that's about to hit the streets, I'm definately going to be a camaro man. The only thing that will stop that is if the GNX is really coming back like the rumors are saying.

Idk if you all know this, but later this year, Ford is bringing back the Shelby GT500. Its got the same body style as the '05's but its got a 5.4L supercharged V-8...the same engine as the Ford GT. Just thought i'd letcha know.

The GNX isn't coming out. The pic that you saw and the insuing article was a project of some student or worker or something like that. GM has mention no intention, repeat, no intention, of bringing back the GNX. Sorry for the bad news.
