LS6 Intake = Stock to Slightly Modified (Headers, Exhaust and Lid)
Fast 90/92/102 = Cammed to Heads & Cam to Boosted, etc...

Agree with above, but for a boosted application I would stay away from a two piece intake. I'm sure that doesn't pertain to the OP, just thought I would throw it out there.

you can get the BBK SSi manifold that flows 18% better than the LS6 brand new for only $399 at new era performance.

A lot of people are running 8psi or more through FAST intakes.

The problem with the BBK is that it's metal and is an unnecessary heat sink.

I had an aluminum Wein intake that got hot & stayed hot... Now I'm running a 90mm LS2 intake, but would rather have a FAST...

True, but with the nitrous back fire burst plate underneath and the large amount of boring room made it the winner for my application. I just figured that I would throw it out there since most likely every one would only mention FAST or LS6. Just wanted to show that there are other options.

Theres an intake comparison in GMHTP this month. some are going to be alot more than you want or need though.

I agree. I've seen pictures of FAST intakes blown apart from FI applications.

Its VERY tall, but for $360 the Edelbrock proflo XT is a great intake.
I'm running one in my 04 GTO and had to cut a hole and run a hood scoop...on an F-body you need to take a big notch out of the cowl.

What issue of GMHTP is the intake comparisons in? Can you get the info on line? I would love to see what it is comparing to what etc as there is so much controversy out there on every intake. LS@, LS^, Typhoon, Fast, Weiand, you name it and everyone has a different opinion.

if you have the $ FAST is the way to go...if not x2 on the bbk ssi. I really don't have any problems with heat soak. if you're going with minor mods an ls6 intake would be a good investment.

In my case. I'm also lookin for Avondale manifold
I knw that ls6 is better than bbk
But since I have 00 ss and I'm in Cali I need to get the bbk cuz it has the EGR provisions
And I also kne that FAST is the best one
But I can't afford that. To much
