the problem i see with the cobra spraying the gas is that his gearing...4.10 with the spray will really test the traction of the setup

Are you serious??? If it was a Terminator, 03-04 Cobra then yes. Its a POS 98, the GTs made more power than the Cobras back then... well maybe not, but the HP difference was close to nothing in 98 between the GT and the Cobra. Pretty much Cobra's were a joke until 03. And If I am not mistaken 13.8 was about the best you could get on them stock, with traction.

A 98 cobra with bolt ons can make 300+whp, with a 100 shot 370-400whp would be doable, and thats way more than enough power to get into 11s with a properly setup car. 98 cobra was rated at 305hp stock, the gt was 225hp, 80hp dif is a good amount. As I said before, this cobra owner doesnt sound like he knows what hes doing so there is very little chance this car is running what it could with that power.

Your car seriously boggles my mind. Some thing is wrong IMO, because even if you cant get traction and run a 13flat et the trap speed should still be much higher. My best trap speed with bolt ons and a little tuning was 110.7 with 350whp on a dynojet. If you want you can pm me a list of all your mods, dyno sheet, type of dyno, tires, drivetrain etc. and i can try and tell you if something is out of place in your setup. But past that since i cant actually be up close and personal with the car its hard to say why your car runs so slow.

60'=2.01
1/8=8.5
1/8mph= 84.3mph
1/4=13.065
1/4mph=108.2mph

Lol Wisconsin has the same woods and wilderness, and over 900 lakes. MI has one of the worst economys in the 50 states and one fo the highest forclosure rates.WI has Americas largets waterparks, the worlds largest music festival and much more. Our bank tried to donate some MI forclosed houses to charity and they were so run down in such a bad area they wouldnt take free houses.

Brian I too wished you lived closer to WI, if I could'nt help you figure this out I know many people who could.

Anyway back to topic, so the mustang doesnt wanna spray and therefore will not win. You should tell him to get good tires, some suspension work and get that car to run what it should, with those mods 12s wouldnt be hard for that cobra to hit if it could hook.
