Magnaflow exhaust (looks stock), Thunderbolt highflow cats, Slp lid, K&N filter. All my friends think its stock until I slam the pedel down and the magnaflow wakes up fast

no that 10.6 was the first time out on shitty tune with no n20 and many other things wrong such as no meth kit yet and 150 degree plus intake temps.not to mention my car is closer to 4000lbs than it is 3700

it will go faster than a 10.6 trust me

I just like to keep my cars full capabilities a secret that way people get suprised when they think they are faster

One off my good friends has a 2.4L KB/stroker 5.0/mild cams. He makes over 700rwhp on 116 and over 600whp on pump. Its a sick car but the one problem with the mustang is they cant 60ft for shit.

My 93Z28 M6 made no were near the amount of power as some cars do but i had zero traction in 1st and zero traction in 2nd gear. I had a good clutch, decent tires and 4.10's and would launch it in 2nd gear. If i had as much power as some cobra's do i would without a doubt just launch it in 2nd. You have to ride the clutch big time for most of 1st anyway to get little to no traction either way and slam it going into 2nd gear which you would have no traction either, might as well practice launching it in 2nd and finding just the right RPM's and call it a day. I practiced and practiced with my Z28 till i got it right and was able to shave off .3 tenths in the quarter not a huge gain but in the right hands im sure it could've been better since i suck.

I think he is referring to the cobra's with their independent rears. They are a bit fussy.

You have a mach with a solid rear axle, so it's not an issue for you. Actually I have liked the fox bodies since their inception. The 8.8's are decent pieces and the poor man's 4 link can be made to hook extrememly well for cheap. Great platforms to build from.

Granted, the Terminator stock IRS doesn't take well to 5k rpm clutch dumps, but that's not to say you can't get a good sub 2.0 second 60 ft. out of them.

Just from what Ive seen. I know nothing about they re stock suspensions. It just seems like they dont hook as well as the camaro's and vettes. Didnt mean to offend you.

I dont think of a 1.8-1.9 60ft as that good.

Sub 2.0 60 foot times aren't anything to write home about.

Like I said iin my first post @ a little over 800 rwhp I have ZERO traction in first if I am even a little agressive with the throttle. Heck even at 60mph traction can be an issue. (I did a 60-130 pull with a buddy of mine & got sideways @ 60) The stock IRS is not exactly optimum for high hp applications, or staright line racing. That is why I have the soild axle swap.

Well that's a fox body,,,and as I mentioned earlier,,,they use the "poor mans 4 link" which can be made to hook quite easily for very little cash.

Same type setup GM has used on A-bodies since 1964. I've messed with them for 25+ years and have one of mine going 1.5 60 foot times in a 4,100 lbs. car on a 275 radial with only a set of no-hop bars and adjustable upper arms.
They remind me of the KISS principle. They are simple stupid

Well,,,,with over 800 rwhp and running a small tire,,,,, You would have to really dial in that suspension for straight line hooking that much power on a small street legal tire. Even then it would take some finess, and it's generally a bit more slippery on the street anyway.

Yeah I know but I was trying to point out that makeing generalized statements that mustangs dont hook is b.s.. Sometimes I think people live under a rock or something.

Dang thats a heavy car your messing with.

Yes, at higher speeds the weight doesnt play a factor and they have more power stock vs stock.
