Srt-4 calling me out

guy in my area has a low 11 second srt neon... i know he has a larger turbo but i'm not sure of his other mods... he snapped his axle and screwed up his transmission in the process... i haven't seen him since i heard that happened to him...

BTW...I consider a SRT-4 to be a import,even though it's a dodge.

Why? Just because it is a decently quick car with FWD and a turbo four?

He better be bringing slicks. If he shows up will any type of street tire, he should just give you the money.

I would run him, you'll probably beat him. If not, lesson learned, add a couple more mods and run him again.

Yes the 5 speeds in those cars are weak and so is the rest of the drive train. One of them did snap a axel right infront of me one time. Then again I have seen t-56 shafts snap with 400whp and some super hard shifting. Not as common but any manual tranny can crap out if you beat it enough.

The race is set for the 6th of June at the dragstrip. He probably won't even show up,but if he does I'll post the result win or lose.

I'm with you 110%!!! I hate them and....like you ...I too consider cars that wear fart cans for exhaust pieces of shit. I purposefully seek them out just to intimidate them. But...I'm armed and ready with plenty of NOS to add insult to injury. I'm too old to be into those type cars...I'm 100% V8 muscle.

No! If he did put 5k-7k into his car,I would think he would have picked up a pair of slicks by now.

we will see what happens a week from this Sunday...I fully intend to bring my car to the track and get a few runs in with the slicks and see what it does for my e.t.

If the neon shows up,I'll try and get a video of the race and I'll post it on here.

Put a bottle on your car in case you need it. I'd hate to see an fbody lose to a skittle. Quickest skittle I've seen at the track ran 11.80's.

I was trying to find some video I took of one of my friends SRT-4 runs. He was running a different turbo and had it on the bottle with a 75 shot. I swear that little prick ran an 11.57 best time and didn't have slicks on.

I wanted to throw nail spikes across the track on his side just before our run against each other but....he blew the piece of shit up on its second run of the day.

They may run fast....for awhile.

I just can't wait to see the video if the guy shows. He might scope out the scene and see he's been called and develop some sort of mechanical problem an become unable to race.

I met a guy a couple years back with a 98 Neon with a built SRT-4 engine and trans. He raced everybody from a roll because he ran out of money for stronger axles so he put POS street tires on it

it was fast as hell from a roll, but just made a mess of the tires from a dig. By the way, SRT-4s don't come with any muffler, fart-can or otherwise

wow! that much! You think I could put the stall in and hold off on a re-tune?

Reason I ask is I would like to hold of on the re-tune until I do my H/C swap at a later time.

not if you intend to race,it can be done but your shift points for one will be all screwed which could cause some serious problems stock 4l60e's are not something you want to risk overrevving with

I'll hold off on the stall then.

My Camaro is the first automatic I've ever owned and raced.

Before was my 4-speed chevelle...540,800hp at the time and snapping axles on a hard launch.

Wasn't until last year I decided to mod the camaro and return the chevelle to stock.
