    Question 02 z28 VS 96 mustang GT supercharged

    One of my buddies at work wants to race me. He has a 96 mustang GT with procharger pushing 14lbs of boost also some long tubes and other stuff mods in video. I have a 02 camaro z28 (see below) I also have some BFG drag radials that ill be racing him with. What do you guys think? Dont want to lose to this guy LOL We'll be going to the track in a couple months so it will be a documented race and I dont do a whole lot of races on the street Heres a video of his car tell me whats ya think!

    i think you are gonna lose. you need full exhaust and a stall to keep up. cam to put you over. from a roll on the highway, you will keep up, though

    I remember seeing them with just 8lbs pushing about 315 rwhp with a aftercooler and that could've been on the high side, ofcourse had exhaust and tune. With 14lbs of boost he is probably atleast pushing 380+ RWHP easy.

    With stock heads, intake and cams, his car will probably run mid to low 13s ON A GOOD Day. 14psi is interesting. He is either on an awesome tune or doesnt care if he breaks his engine. 14 psi is more than just a ticking time bomb, he may have a built lower end and not telling you anything.

    If its built with suspension, easy 11s or low 12s.

    As an example, Im all motor with the power below and run 12.50s at 110.

    Did you do some weight reduction? That is a good ET and MPH for the amount of power you are making.
