update! small world, wifes sister told me that she knows the guy who owns the mustang and he was running his mouth about beating an ls1. Turns out he had close to 6,000 in motor mods for his mustang. i told him that ill race him again and that maybe this time we will leave the light at the same time and maybe he wont let off at 75 when i start catching him..... lets see what happens, ill keep ya posted.

I beat a 02 GT 5 speed and the gt had "11K" of mods from what he said and I only had a tsp exhaust and k&n filter. from a dig I beat him by 2-3 cars and right from the start I jumped about half a car on him

I beat a cougar 3.8 liter that had 40k in mods. They were all cosmetic mods but still had 40k in mods. Knowing that someone has this much money into there car tells you nothing, it depends on what they spent that money on. Give me a 02 gt and 11k to spend in mods and i would have spanked the living crap out of your two bolt on car.

I am betting he was a full bolt on car. Also......if he changed a cam he probably changed cams. Most of them I have seen run mid 14s on average with some getting in the 13s but that is pretty rare.

Sinister, SixGun- 2001 SS, 2002 L36 M5
i love when stangs "beat" our cars and post on their forums...makes more of them wanna race my SS
but for reference...my 3.8L bolt on 2002 camaro beats GT's and OMG MACH ONEZ!!! on the street and the track. its got alot of driver mod...but mustangs are slow, no joke about that one lol.
and another note...last weekend my buddy raced some "badass" foxbody. well my friend has about $2500 in his whole car and the mustang is a complete build on a 347. well it went like this....honda hatchback with a $600 turbo kit owns the mustard over and over...honda on street tires and mustard with slicks. head scratching* mnustard owners are just all flash and no bang lol. the kid said his spec clutch started to slip in 3rd, sounds like a ricer excuse.
ii could go on forever with these stories, but there's no point, we've all heard so so many.Last edited by Fury_786; 03-25-2010 at 02:05 PM.

You think your 3.8 liter can take mach 1s? Your retarded, a bolt on N/A 3.8 liter most likely wont get out of the 14s. A Mach 1 has gone low to mid 13s stock.
