    2010 camaro SS

I was on break from class and a buddy and I were rollin around campus when we catch up to a new camaro ss. Black with tinted windows, Looks bone stock so I was just admiring the car when he revs it up. I knew we'd race but I hated that street for racing (cops) so I let him do his own roll but as luck has it we hit a red light. Just us, He's reving, I'm reving. Light hits green and I hit the gas. While I'm looking through my periforal to see when his car would pass me up I don't see it yet. By now I'm already in mid 2nd so I look back and I threw some distance on it!. I'm thinkin to myself no way he probably had traction issues or missed a gear....
Luckily, We hit the next light again all alone. Same story light hits green I lay off the gas for a quick second I hear his tires hook, but not burn, and I layed down the gas. I go threw 1st get some rubber, I also hear him hook in 2nd too but once I hit second I start to slowly pull. I went to third and stopped because we were getting closer to civilization.

At this point I'm like WTF, I beat a new camaro no effin way. I love my car then he rolls up gives me the thumbs up, we give him the thumbs back and that was it.

2002 Trans am WS6.- Bone stock minus SLP lid, 31,000 miles.
2010 Camaro SS- looked bone stock

YES, It was an SS, I've watched the video many times. I would upload but its 1, a shitty cell phone video, its only the second race and my friend cant put it on the computer.

Nice! Actually a little suprising being you're stock, but still a good kill. At least he was cool about it.
It's not how fast you can go. It's how fast you can get there.

bone stock in mods and stock tune then the auto would lose. they benefit a lot with just a tune though.

I should say working at the dealer there are alot of people suprised when i tell them the HP rating from the auto to the manual, after it settles in they dont really care much and usually by the auto anyway. Lots off people assume its the same thing. I mean 26Hp isnt a huge difference but then again as said above and ive seen a few dyno numbers they pull about 320-330 some ive seen lower. The manuals ive seen run higher then expected will go from 345-365rwhp give or take.

Not surprising to me the Camaro is 400 pounds heavier and when tested with an auto is .5 slower in the 1/4 than your WS6.

13.0 is the quickest ive read about the new ss auto. an that is only .2 behind the quickest ls1 4th gen, which i thought was 12.89 in a z28. a bit foggy thinkin right now but it is late.

Wow, that must have been a good day. Perfect weather, blue moon, planets aligned, perfect driver, and a couple of leprechauns riding in the back

    Sadly now demodded :(

Difference in the HP rating on the A6 vs M6 in the 2010 is because of the variable valve timing and cylinder deactivation crap on the auto.
