Kooks Headers
Looking at buying a set of Kooks headers items #6506s. Have a few questions.
Should I pay for the coating on these headers?
I realize they are stainless steel so they shouldn't rust. Is there any point of really getting them coated.
Does anyone running these headers have some photos of the car with ground clearance?
Anyone have any codes for a discount from marylandspeeed, I plan on buying them from there?Last edited by jamesg1750; 03-01-2010 at 06:23 PM.

Just installed a set of Kooks a few weeks ago -- still finishing up the job. No need to have them coated imo unless you are attempting to cut down on underhood heat. They are works of art!

As mentioned...no need for coating.
Clearance...
Low point is a cutout flange. Only thing I have ever scraped.

Yea the guys at KY Speed are pretty straight up. I've asked questions about things on their site and I've gotten quick, concise answers. When I start buying stuff for my T/A, I'll go through them.

Bought my kooks headers finally. Gonna be shipped out in 1-2 weeks because I ended up getting them coated for free. Plus I bought some new motor and trans mounts

That driver side kooks header is a MAJOR pain to install. But its worth it in the end!!

Received my headers today they look sweet. It seems they sent me a set of kooks catted y-pipe instead of the ORY. Think I should by a ORY instead?
