    Mustangs are generally more expensive to insure than F-bodys - even when the F-body had 305+ HP and the GT had only 225 HP.

    Not in my experiences. The 98 F-body (TA) I was looking at when I bought my 95 mustang was 300 more every 6 months. Maybe the price was because it was newer by 3 years? I've got one now but back then they were expensive to insure. I was 21 back then and 28 now.
