    1985 Cutlass Supreme...

So I'm looking at this car for a DD. It's $1700 and I would try to get him down to $1500, but it needs a new oil pan (he got estimates of $200).

Went and test drove it, and it is in great condition with 104k miles. A little rust, but not much. It has a 307 V8 and a newer turbo 350 transmission.

    What do you think?

I'd offer $1,000... But with a goal to get it out the door for $1,400.

Would really like to add one of those to our stable. Looked at a very similar car not too long ago that the guy wanted $1,000 for. How rusted up is it underneath? If the oil pan is gone, I imagine the rest of the chassis has to be in less than pristine condition.

i love the 81-87 cutlass and regal....i want want with lsx power...a car that looks that clean usually goes for somewhere in the neighborhood of 3k here in houston. But rarely do they get turned into a bad ass.....its always a lowrider with tv's fallin from the roof with the elbow spokes stickin 2 feet from the car.

I didn't look at the undercarraige as much as I should have. The car sat low and snow was on the ground. I did get down and look at the rockers and under the body a little, and it looked good. The only rust on the body was minor surface rust above the rear wheel wells.

The guy ended up selling it this morning. Oh well.

I'm going to wait to buy another car, and dump some money in my SS instead.

I always liked thier lines but they were usually heavily under powered and box stock could be hammered on by a tiny little engine called a 2.8L in an old 3rd Camaro .. Especially the ones that came with the little 265 v8.. I can't remember the exact CI but they did offer a v8 with under 300 cubes.. slooooooow... I would'nt own a v8 with less power than a v6.. just my .02..
