    67 fairlane & 86 mustang 5.0

a couple guys I work with are big ford guys. I've never really been in to racing and am pretty new to LS1's. I had 94 LT1 with an M6 but now have an 02 Z28 A4. Anyway the fairlane is set up for the 1/8 mile with 4.56 gears and some suspenion goodies and everyone around town knows the car for being fast. I didn't really know what to expect so I accepted his challenge and we set up for an 1/8 mile. he was doing big burnouts to get the tires sticky, I just pulled up next to him without wanting to burn up my tires. We were tied off the line but once I finally got full traction, it was over, I let off before the end and asked him if all my taillights were working. The guy with the mustang wanted nothing to do with it. These LS1's are great.

Lol, nice. You would think if these guys track there cars alot they would know what a ls1 can do. And with 4.56s in a 67 fairlane there is little else to do but track it.

    Fairlane LS swap motor mounts

I've got a 66 Fairlane with a 390 that I'm going to put a LS in. I'm trying to find out if somebody makes motor mounts for this swap or if I'm going to have to fabricate them myself.

My Dad got my Mom either a 68/69 Cougar Eliminator with a 390, and a three speed auto, and 3.90- sumthin’ diff’ gears, and would always tell me how much faster that car was and how “today’s cars” wouldn’t be able to keep up.

Then I got the WS6, and I took him for a spin (more like a launch, there was no spin), and the cat seemed to get his tounge...
