There are quite a few guys running 12s and 13s on stock powertrain. Trannys break it happens but many people have the stock tranny running 12s and 13s.

it's like running 10's on a stock 10 bolt--- you can do it but it doesnt mean it will take it for very long.

had one friend put around 150ish extra hp through his cummins. trans was gone in several passes.

Racing hard with 800ftlbs of trq through any tranny short of a full racing auto is racing on borrowed time and even a fully built trans doesn't last forever.

Its cheaper than having 3 vehicles for different things. Having 1 truck that can turn 12 second 1/4miles times, tow half a house, transport a ton of shit, drive in any weather, take you places off road that only a truck can and be streetable. Unless of course you buy a shitty cheap used vehicles.
