    Good kill especially for that trap speed you have, I would have thought the SLR would have beat you, let alone lose by that much length? Maybe the guy was short shifting. I'm not taking anything away from your kill but SLR's typically trap in the high 120's and have better highway gearing.

    I thought I was gonna hand that race over also. Here's my theory. I believe the SLR is supercharged. It had been on an extended highway cruise where he had been doing some high speed blasts up to and over 100mph prior to our engagement. Any one who has a blower is familiar with heat saturation which can knock enourmous amounts of speed off your times. If he had had a two hour cool off period and iced that manifold I think I would be 4 car lenghts back. When I spray my car it doesn't seem to make much differance hot or cold, high altitude or not. Even the bottle pressure doesn't make much differance.Just a theory.

    Yes FI gets heat soak but not when your constantly moving at freeway speeds. It usually happens in stop and go traffic or in the staging lanes.
