    Dupont Caliper paint!

Is junk, plain and simple. This is the paint designed for calipers which comes in a little paint jug with a small brush. I have bought this shit twice and followed instructions and it never sticks like it should. I brush/brake clean the calipers til they are spotless, let them dry for about a hour then apply. At first they look great and hold up for about 6 months, but some how when I park the car for the winter in the garage......BOOM! The paint drops off like shit. Now this paint doesn't see salt/high pressure water/strong abrasives and it just won't hold up for more then 6 months. I don't recommend, if you want colored calipers then get them powdercoated

I'm just going with Cadilliac CTS-V calipers. Fuck our stock calipers FTW! I don't get how a spray kind would be better then a thicker paint on but either way it doesn't matter to me anymore. Just keeping people away from the shit I used.

I used Eastwood's Spray Gray back in March -- calipers still look great. Same prep process as outlined by the OP, brass brushes and brake clean. Previously, I had tried a brush applied product on another car and it did not hold up well at all.

high temp spray paints have worked for me. on the intake manifold and the calipers. i initially tried the brush kind and i didnt like it at all. so i spray painted them and now all i do is clean them and the paint is fine.

fixed. im sure your right but all ive dealt with are the brush(complete garbage) and spray paint. so i have no input on the powdercoating.

I am confused by your post, you say the brush is complete garbage which I agree and I had it initially posted as the lesser of the three options. But then you change it say its greater than the 3 options?

powdercoat is the best bet and it usually only about 25 dollars a caliper. that not to bad considering it will last for years. i was also a victim of the cheap ass spray on shit.
