Please trucks are going so cheap these days, i have seen a couple dealers with 50% off all 08 trucks in my area. There were even a couple dealers back when gas was 4.50 with specials like buy a brand new 08 truck and get a used 05+ truck for free. They were literally giving trucks away

New diesel trucks will not be "given away", my friend. Some were going for > $50K, so even if they were 50% off (which ain't happenin') that's still $25K. Then add another $10K or more for mods to make them mid-11's or so. That's a helluva lot of money to make a truck fast when an LS1 powered car could be made faster for a lot less.
Of course, if you have the means and/or only want one vehicle, knock yourself out.
LS1 with a 200 shot will do the same thing.

I wont ever own a turbo diesel truck let me say first. As i dont need one or really like driving a truck.
You cant compare prices between these two vehicles because you pay 10k for a 10 year old f-body and you can only do 1 thing, drive around and go fast. Then you pay 25k for a 08 turbo diesel that is first of all newer with a warrenty and can do a number of things the f-body cant and some things the f-body can like run 11s and 12s with the right mods and still be reliable.
And there are a shit ton of slightly used 10-30k mile turbo diesel 08s going for 25-28k.
Yet another apples to oranges comparrison.Last edited by Zinergy; 10-22-2009 at 09:13 AM.

All I know is burning the tires on the rear is fun but being able to burn all four and not being able to lean your head forward will put a shit-eating grin on your face all day. What was this post about again?
