The Trans Am 421 SD - Transcendental Transformation
The Last Factory Trans Am Show Car Pays Homage To The '71 455 H.O. T/AIn 2002, after the last Firebirds and Trans Ams rolled off the assembly line, GM Performance Division put together an elaborate, but very satisfying, plan to build the ultimate Fourth-Generation Trans Am. It called it the Trans Am 421 SD, a modern interpretation of the '71 455 H.O. Trans Am.

i have a pic of it but i dont know how to paste it. the interior is blue, and i think it has some machined pieces to reflect the interior of the 71..i think the insturment cluster. it's got a different shifter, and i think the backing to the radio and a/c controls is different. the WHOLE interior is in blue. i think they replaced the plastic part of the dash with suede? but i could be wrong

It did as of May 2008
Here are the details:

It is one of a kind and not a concept, just a project.
I am not a fan of the interior, but understand what inspired it.

I like the heritage stand point, and I like the fact that he has a c5.R in that thing I want a c5.R dangit lol oh well. But for the very last car to come off the line im not impressed with the interrior that much nor the add in little old school castings around the gauges and stuff could have been done alot differently. Overall I like it cause of creativity and expecially since the guy loved the t/a's so much he got to design one that reminded him of his old t/a.

raleigh, where did you get your shaker at? And how do you have it attached to your intake? Is it functional or just looks.
