ls1 vs 05 goat

Came up on a kid with an 05 automatic with ram air. I had never ran with a gto and frankly was scared i would get spanked. Anyway one way to find out. We both got on I-220 he acclerated to about 80 when I got beside him I looked at him, dropped it in 4th and took off I look in the mirror to see he is right there and not going any where. I slow down to about 35 get in the right lane and he slows with me we nod, I drop it into 2nd and floor it I got about 1/2 a length on him right off the bat and threre he stood in that same spot all the way up to about 140 mph we did this three times and every time it was exactly the same. On the last run I slowed and gave him the o k signal, and he did the same. GTO gets my respect, those cars will fly and mad props to any one reading this who has one
